Coil Handling and Press Feeding Solutions

How to choose a decoiler?

In the metal processing and production industry, in order to facilitate transportation and reduce floor space, plates usually need to be wound into coils. The reliable quality of these coils in automated processing and production is to use special equipment to unwind, unwind, and unwind them. The machine is a special device born to realize this function.

Hydraulic Decoiler Machine

  How to choose a decoiler?

There are many types of decoilers. To choose the right model, the key is to clarify three aspects:

  1. Clarify the basic parameters of the material, width, thickness, weight, inner diameter, and outer diameter of the processed plate material roll. Uncoilers are divided into two categories: vertical decoiler and horizontal heavy decoiler according to the material-bearing method. Vertical decoiler includes heavy decoiler, light decoiler, double-head decoiler, etc. Basic attributes can be known, roughly the type of uncoiler required.

  2. Clarify the space of the workshop, the situation of subsequent matching machines, and the characteristics of processing technology. The uncoiler needs to be used with the subsequent machine. The subsequent machine and processing technology will have further requirements for the uncoiler, such as the size of the waiting area, how fast the uncoiling speed, the need for speed control, and the surface accuracy of the uncoiling strip. High is not high, etc., in order to determine which type of uncoiling to use (basically after clarifying these two points, the type of machine can be determined).

  3. Clarify the actual processing and production situation and later planning, and choose the optional device of the uncoiler. After determining the model and type of the uncoiler machine, the customer also needs to determine which optional devices the machine needs according to the actual production and later planning. For example, the common optional equipment for heavy-duty uncoilers: whether to install a frequency converter (frequency conversion speed control to enable uncoiling More stable); whether to add a pressing arm (to avoid loose materials during unwinding); whether to switch to a hydraulic expansion device (instead of manual expansion, reducing labor intensity); whether to switch to a photoelectric sensor device (to avoid scratching the surface of the material), and There are hydraulic loading trolleys, stop arms, etc...
